The microcontroller originally used was cancelled by its manufacturer Hitachi and is therefore no more available. It is replaced by a fast microcontroller of Dallas. The obviously higher clock frequency in conjunction with optimized programming allows a maximum step frequency of 30 khz. Compared with the so far reached 20 khz this is a very great improvement of the module's performance. The prices of the modules remain nevertheless unchanged.
